Blakroc was my #3 album for the year but it is slowly moving up on the list. It is such a solid album. Blakroc is a team up of The Black Keys, Raekwon, Mos Def, Q-Tip, OBD, RZA, Jim Jones, Nicole Wray, Noe, Pharoahe Monch and Billy Danze. They spent 11 days in the studio and walked out with this 11 track album. The mix of the jazzy blusey sound of The Black Keys mixed with the all star hip-hop line up creates a sound I haven’t heard before. I’d have to say RZA really holds his own on the album.

Christmas Eve

Christmas was good to me this year.
Obey has really stepped it up in their clothing department. I ended up with two jackets from them and I was really impressed. I’m happy to see the brand getting away from the all over prints on t-shirts (they were getting old) and coming up with some nice, original, clean designs.

The Rapture jacket is faux leather and has a nice fit. Just a nice jacket.

I’ll have to take a picture of the other jacket because I can’t find a picture of it online.

Also, Some new headphones out for the holiday season! URBANEARS

These headphones are great. I went out on a limb and asked for them because of the color and I’m glad I did. The sound is as good as they look. Their campaign is genius, “The new color in sound.” In total there are 14 different colors and two types of headphones, the “Plattan” and the “Tanto”. The headphones folds into itself making it easy to store. The unique thing about these is the “Zound” plug on the side of the right ear. This plug allows another person to plug into your headphones and hear what you are hearing. I’m not sure if I will use this feature but its still pretty cool.

The whole site is laid out very nicely. He updates almost everyday and when he doesn’t he makes up for it and posts 3 the next. He has an insider look into the fashion world that I really haven’t seen in many other blogs. Probably my favorite thing about his blog is how much he appreciates his readers. He will comment back and personally address readers.
